Norwegian: Rundt og balansert, mørkt raudt øl med eit preg av nøtter, sjokolade og toffee. Smaken kjem fra seks ulike malttyper, og ølet er overraskande lett å drikke. Passer bra til grillmat og oster.

English: Mellow and balanced, dark red beer with a character of nuts, chocolate and toffee. The taste comes from six different kinds of malt, and the beer is surprisingly easy to drink. Goes well with barbeque and cheeses.

Amber with small tan head. Caramel, some licorice and floral. Sweet, floral and light spicy finish. Overall: Surely an amber ale, nothing more.

Nice amber color, thin head. Malt and caramel in aroma, plus some dried fruits. Same in taste, lively, sour carbonation give it a kick, medium body, OK.

When I tasted this for the first time some years ago, it was at the same time my very first encounter with amber ale as a style. So now I’m meeting an old friend again, after a loong brake... Amber they say, amber it is in colour, with a thin beige head, no carbonation visible in the slightly hazy beverage in the glass, but a nice lacing. CO2 hits your mouth instantly, almost burning on the tongue. Next comes the lovely taste of light caramel and a hint of vanilla and smooths it all out in a pleasant aftertaste, in which the bittering hops enter the stage and introduce themselves. Conclusion: I still love this beer, and if this is what brewmaster Ægir brewed for the old nordic gods Odin, Thor and all the others, I want to go to Valhalla... Now!!

Barwa miedziana, średnia drobnopęcherzykowa piana, nieco krążkująca. Aromat słodowo-karmelowy, lekki diacetyl. Smak wpadający w wodnistość, karmelowy, lekki, goryczki praktycznie brak. Raczej słabo ale da się pić.

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2015 Bottle. Aroma caramel, estery, fruity. Light clove. Hazy amber colour. Taste quite thin bodied, with paradoxically lots of caramel, mostly in the finish. Otherwise estery, fruity. Good, but nothing special.

500 ml bottle - Dark ruby red colour, somewhat unusual taste. Not one of the better Ægir range!
