COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Norwegian: Rundt og balansert, mørkt raudt øl med eit preg av nøtter, sjokolade og toffee. Smaken kjem fra seks ulike malttyper, og ølet er overraskande lett å drikke. Passer bra til grillmat og oster.

English: Mellow and balanced, dark red beer with a character of nuts, chocolate and toffee. The taste comes from six different kinds of malt, and the beer is surprisingly easy to drink. Goes well with barbeque and cheeses.

UPDATED: MAY 14, 2013 Flaske kjøpt på rema1000. Rødbrun farge med lite skum, smaker nøtter, skoloade, karamell malt og hint av kaffe,. Ølen virker litt tynn. Den hadde fungert bedre med mer fylde

From bottle 06.07.15. Hazy, dark orange. Beige head and lacing. Aroma of medium dark malt, toffee and dried fruits. Similar taste, with biscuits and hints of berries in aftertaste. Low bitterness.

500 ml bottle - Dark ruby red colour, somewhat unusual taste. Not one of the better Ægir range!

Amber body, offwhite head. Aroma has much malt, some chewy fudge. Flavour adds bisquit and dried fruits. Bit roasty.

On tap at Ægir, pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out crisp bready malt and a slight smokiness. Flavour brings out a slightly smoky bready malt, with a dry crispness. Balanced and has some character with the smokiness. Nice one.

Bottle, as Ægir Onkel Lauritz. Pours amber, with a receding rocky head. Aroma is dark malts, with roasted bread and toffee, as well as some notes of kandi, cocoa and coffee. Light to medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is roasted malts with biscuits and bread, as well as notes of nuts, coffee and wood. Pretty boring.
