UPDATED: MAR 5, 2012 On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Chestnut colour, creamy off-white to beige head. Unusual fruity perfumed aroma, notes of over-ripe raspberries. 3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Kestral (494) - Årnes, NORWAY - DEC 7, 2011
Tap@Håndtverker’n. Very dark, clear reddish brown, with a small frothy off white head. Solid sweet fruity aroma, tropical fruits, juicy apricots, slightly burnt sour, slightly smoked, a hint of caramel or burnt sugar. Loads of fruitiness flavourwise as well, with a nice, long resiny finish. Toasted malts. Almost astringent and peppery in the long, long finish. Medium bodied, sparsely carbed. Could have been a bit bubblier. All in all a good, drinkable yet complex beer. Nice one.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Foffern (272) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 19, 2011
Surprisingly dark brown, cloudy. Small beige head. Aromas of grainy hops, rye, and a nice whiff of grapefruit. The ryebread also in the flavours, along with some sweet caramel notes. Medium to fullbodied with a well balanced long durational bitterness. Slick in the mouth and low carbo. Overall a very tastefull and balanced delicious brew. Despite having american hops the fruity flavours reminds me more of an english style IPA.
