Tap at Cardinal 13.10.2010. Murky orange with a sizable, creamy light brown head leaving excellent lacing. Fresh grassy, malty and spicy aroma with notes of sweet dried fruits, honey and caramel. Sweet, bitter, mildly alcoholic and acidic with spices mellowing through. Medium body. Dryish with a gentle carbonation. Picks up more body and more a fruity taste as the temperature increases.

On tap at Håndverkerstuene. It’s a hazy, orange beer, with a big, off-white head sitting on top. It’s hoppy on the nose, some sugary notes and hints of spices, as well as some sour hints. Some orange and a little touch of white sugar in the mouth, clever use of hops gives a good bitterness and citrus and pine cones. Full-bodied and sweetish, pleasantly carbonated. The finish is mostly bitter. A beer that is slightly more on the sweet side than I like it to be, but nice anyway. 100820

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Cloudy brownish golden colour, moderate white head. Very nice aroma of spicy and fruity Belgian saison yeast, sweetish malts and fruity hops. The flavour is moderately sweet with fruity and spicy notes, and with a distinct hoppy bitterness in the finish. A bitter "bite" remains throughout the long aftertaste.

On tap @ Håndverkstuene. Hazy orange with a small off-white head. Nice aroma of citric fruit, yeast, spices and hint of malt. Flavor is light malty, citric fruity, spicy and well-balanced bitter. Body is just right for the style and the finish is long, fruity and moderate bitter. So easy to drink, still lots of flavors, lovely.

Medium white head. Hazy deep yellow body. Spicy fruity floral aroma with mealy earthy notes. Sweet-dryish peppery mealy fruity citric taste with wooden notes. Mid-bodied. Mealy astringent mouthfeel. Dry floral herbal mealy aftertaste with fruity notes. Highly sessionable, and very clean and fresh. (0.33l draft at Haandverkerstuene, Oslo.)

On tap at Håndverkerstuene. Hazy dark orange colour. Very big foamy head. Aroma is slightly hoppy with notes of belgian yeast, dough and some caramelized sugar. Flavour is a tad bitter. Some hops initially, but this is soon replaced by the yeasty notes as well as malts, spices, carmelized sugar. Some bitterness. Medium to short bitter aftertaste.

330 ml draught at Håndverkerstuene. Cloudy dark amber. Medium-sized white head that clings to the glass. Crisp aroma with coriander and grassy hops. Some yeast and citrus to be found as well. Medium-bodied. Lightly sourish flavours. Perhaps a little too murky, but overall a decent saison.

Tap at håndverkerstuene. Kinda foggy/hazy medium dark yellow colour, very small head. The aroma is intense and delicious, fruity, spicy and malts. The taste is just as good, full flavour of fruits, spices and heavy malts. Nice hoppy end. Absolutely stunning saison.

Kestral (494) - Årnes, NORWAY - AUG 11, 2010
Tap at Håndverkerstuene. Murky dark yellow with a big fluffy white head. Fairly yeasty aroma, typical belgian yeast, a bit doughy, some faint funk and spicy notes, nice and fruity, quite sweet. Tastes wheatier than it smells, pretty sweet at first before a nice, fruity hop bitterness balances it out. Thick and creamy in the mouth, full bodied, very smooth carbonation, yet refreshing and drinkable. Nice one.
