3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours black with brown edges, and a small, semi-fizzy tan head. Aroma is mostly sweet roasted malts, a little bit of burnt sourness, and quite a bit of dark fruitiness. A hint of cocoa. As it warms, more coffee and chocolate comes out, but not much. It’s very clean roast malt heavy. Very well balanced flavourwise. A solid sweetness is well played against the coffee note and following dryness and bitterness than the nose deceivingly didn’t give away too much of. A bit light bodied, but I’m impressed by how creamy and full this feels for 4,7%. All in all a classic, well balanced and crafted ale that I really don’t drink enough of.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.5l bottle. Pours a fizzing dark brown body with a fingersized tanned head. Nose is coffee, chocolate malt and hints of fruit. Medium + carbonation and medium bodied with a bit oily texture. Tastes a decent amount of coffee, malts with some light roasted flavors that ends rather quickly along with a sweet fruity and mild chocolate aftertaste. Another one of those low abv porters that really needs some temperature to show it’s true potential.

Bottle. Dark brown to black with a tanned head. Aroma of licorice and something that reminds me of a horse. Taste is a bit roasty with more licorice. Missing a distinct finish. Good carbonation.
