Deep copper red, big tanned head. Aroma of raisins, prunes, alcohol and roasted malts. Taste is very fruity, full malt body, tons of sweetness. Feel is very oily. Nice. Finish is hop intensive and bitter. I find apples and some heavy fruit notes. A very nice beer from Ægir. Probably their best right now

Thanks to ClubGonzo. Bottle @ Odense Tasting, June 2011. Pours cloudy orange with a creamy white head and lacings. Nose is fruit, caramel and toffee. Quite vinous with a note of fruity orange. Smooth and full bodied. Warmth. A sipper and a fine example of the style.

Pours small white head, but disappears quickly. Appealing rustique colour. Aroma of caramel and alcohol. Very high alcohol level. Tastes very sweet, caramel and brown sugar. Not very bitter. Quite powerful but balanced taste of alcohol. Low carbonation. Round palate, tasteful. Impressive beer!

BeerCast_Rich (1905) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 12, 2011
[500ml bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk] Opaque reddish brown pour, thin lacing only around the edge of the glass. Positively crunching nose of rich, syrupy figs and raisins, booze and spices. Rich and boozy on the palate, with caramel and toffee giving way to a strong alcohol finish. Good, almost meaty barley wine [08052011]
