COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Tasted from the bottle bon 13/11/2012, bought @Vika vinmonopolet, Oslo Aroma is quite intense, all sorts of classic barley-wine notes, but with such a pleasant, elegant nuances on top. Taste is immensely overwhelming, very intense and complex. Just the only slight downside is a hint of alcohol in the end. Recommended+ ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with a diminishing tan head. Aroma is raisins, roasted malt, dark fruit, caramel, booze, herbs and ripe fruit. Taste is moderate+ bitter and near moderate sweet. Full body and sticky. Finishes with a firm bitterness and burn. I’d prefer less bitterness.

Smells of soy and barley wine. The taste is dominated by alcohol, with hints of soy, brussels sprouts and some liquorice. Vinous mouth feel, sticky like red wine. The aftertaste is very alcohol-intensive with a sour hint of soy. Beer for big boys and alcoholics.

DWS; Pours grumsy dark brown with loads of chunky sediments and no head. Aroma is way too boozy for my liking. Loads of dark and dried fruits suits me better. Taste is heavy sweet fruity and moderate bitter, sweetness mostly lasting. Body is full, texture is creamy, carbonation is flat to soft.
