Bottle.
Deep copper red, big tanned head. Aroma of raisins, prunes, alcohol and roasted malts. Taste is very fruity, full malt body, tons of sweetness. Feel is very oily. Nice. Finish is hop intensive and bitter. I find apples and some heavy fruit notes. A very nice beer from Ægir. Probably their best right now

Cloudy, orange-ish brown color, a malty, sweet, flowery bouquet and taste. Intensely sweet, andno hint of alcohol at all. Dangerous, had it not been so filling. Recommended.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2012 Very complex beer! Aroma of alcohol, caramel, grass and raisins. Aftertaste is caramel, and some hops. Well balanced though. Quite easy to drink, dispite the high avb. Have had this cold and in room temperature, It’s a extreme different taste, way better when it’s room temperature. Never had a beer where the difference is that present.

Pours small white head, but disappears quickly. Appealing rustique colour. Aroma of caramel and alcohol. Very high alcohol level. Tastes very sweet, caramel and brown sugar. Not very bitter. Quite powerful but balanced taste of alcohol. Low carbonation. Round palate, tasteful. Impressive beer!

From bestillingsutvalget at Vinmonopolet. Pours a hazy amber color body in the glass with a thin off white head. Sweet and fruty smell of brown sugar, orange and port. Quite alcoholic on the nose. Delicious taste of brown sugar, clementines/orange, hops and creamy caramel. The alcohol is well integrated in the taste and the overall impression of this "barleywine" is very impressive indeed!

500ml bottle, 074BW, bb.12.05.2014, of this heavy stuff at Olympen, some of the content was shared with Øyvind. Hazy, dark-orange body with lots of small dimples on the surface. Aromatic to the nose with its nice blend of dried and sappy fruits. Plenty of tasty dried fruits in flavour stimulated by orange succulence. Lingering, dry bitter ending. Tingling alcohol warmth. Strong and full bodied. Maybe a bit over the top, but first of all pure pleasure. Looking forward to enjoy another one during the upcoming Arctic darkness (Oslo, 13.10.2009).

Medium long aftertaste.
