2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear medium to dark orange amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, spicy, moderate hoppy, christmas spices, nuttmeg, clove. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, spices, christmas spices, pine needles, allspice. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. I normal do not like spiced beers but this is okay and not bad in any way.

20130207: My first Swiss ale, and a fine first it is. Caramel-dark-amber in color with a distinct smoky hops note but a thin mouthfeel on the finish. Math: Smoky belgian style amber ale with a low IBU unique hops note.
