Great beer. Nice aromas, but a little lack of aftertaste. Reminds me of Underlig Jul, but softer.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2013 500ml bottle from Vinmonopolet. Beige, small and long lasting head. Amber body. Sweet aroma of alcohol and raisins, and a hint of apricot, hay and pine. Malty sweetness. Best served slightly below room temperature. In my opinion a very good christmas beer.

DWG; Pours copper with medium lasting off- white frothy head. Nose is perfumed with spices, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, berries and dark fruits, a Christmas adventure. Taste profile mirrors adding caramell and chocolate. Oily texture, soft carbonated. Bitter, spicy and sweet finish.
Very Merry Christmas.

0.5l bottle. This is a near-clear dark cola brown one, lots of small particles swirling around and a medium sized off-white top that’s leaving big lacings down the sides of the glass. On the nose I get a subtle woody-acidity mixed with bot a strong caramel dark sweetness and a nice spiciness with sweet gingerbread and allspice. There is also traces of chocolate and roasted malts with a swiff of smoke when it heats up a bit. Quite nice stuff. It has a nice thick oily mouthfeel with a average carbonation level. It’s a bit more straight forward in the taste. The ginger and sweet gingerbread dominates, sweetness backed up by a soft woody acidity before it ends in a Christmassy finish with traces of alcohol. It sets the mood definitely. Really enjoyable, and in my opinion much better than Ægirs earlier years Juleøl. This really made my day after a shitty day @ the job. 01.11.2012

On tap at Cardinal. Sparkling misty golden with a light brown film leaving excellent lacing. Ginger, cardamum, spicy clove and fruity notes on the nose. Most inviting. Mouth adds malty notes. Medium bodied and smooth to drink. Bitter and spicy finish.
