COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
AeppelTreow Winery’s High Summer Apple Wine is a single-barrel dry, still wine made from apples that ripen in August’s bright sun and sweltering heat. Tart Gravenstein, Jerseymac and other heirloom apples are mellowed with oak and malo-lactic fermentation. The result is buttery and nutty and light bodied.

(750ml bottle, 2003 vintage, thanks to blutt59) clear/viscous in the glass, no head, golden. Nose of old apple, sweet, funky, mild alcohol. Taste makes it seem very old (and it is), not much apple sweetness, some alcohol, not good.

Thanks to blutt59 for sharing this bottle. 2003 vintage. Yellow with a few white bubbles but nothing really resembling a head. I get a lot of very dry apples that are lightly tart. Very easy to drink. This cider has aged nicely.

(750ml bottle, 2003 vintage, courtesy of blutt59) Pours a still clear pale yellow body. Aroma of apple, bandage, salty, perfume, and honey. Flavor of apple, butter, and light menthol with a watery mouthfeel and dry oak finish.

bottle, dont know how this is still around thin yellow pour with nice honey and chardonnay aroma, flavor falls flat quickly with oxidized apple and cardboard, weak florals
