Bright, yellow-golden with a firm, dense head. Natural carbonation and a carefully balanced aroma of fresh bread, banana spice, citrus and hints of vanilla.
A smooth taste. Malty, nutty softness followed by the roundess of tropical fruit and then a dry, light bitterness. Medium bodied, smooth, round mouth-feel. A bright, refreshing finish. the final note on swirling has stronger notes of banana, yeasty spice and a hoppy aroma.

The history of this beer brings an extra dimension to it but the sour palate lets it down. I will most certainly buy and drink Affligem again but the Blonde won´t be my first choice.

Tried in bottle, bought in Austria. Colour is light yellow/golden, hazy. Large white head, holds well. Aroma is yeast, citrus, banana and pale malts. Taste is yeast, bread, banana and citrus. It's a little sour in a good way. Mouthfeel is smooth and well carbonated. It's nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance cloudy nice foam. Aroma citrus, a nice cellar smell. Palate a bit stingy but smooth, watery in the end. Taste has banana, hops, bitterness. Would drink again, but not the best of the belge.

Bottle. Pale yellow body, huge head. Classic Belgian Blonde aroma with sweet yeast and some peachiness. A notch less spicy than Leffe. Sweet malty taste with a bit of Belgian yeast, honey and sweet apricots. A classic example of the Belgian Blonde Ale style. My only question is why isn’t this very distinctive and old beer style a separate style category here in Ratebeer?

Blonde Belgian abbey ale with sticky, lacing, very stable, off-white head and deep clear orange blonde color. Nose of canned apricots, overriped peaches, orange peel, pineapple in syrup, belgian yeast, brown bread, cildern bonbons. Taste is sweet and bitter. Palate is fruity with red apple, peach and red berries, yeasty and bready, with hints of caramel. B@Asperen
