3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Presentation: 12oz bottle
Pours a golden amber clear color, effervescent with lots of debris swimming around. The head is full and white with large soap-like bubbles and clingy lace. The head retention is fair and reduces to a fine layer.
The aroma is fruity, malty, of bread, hops and a spicy background. The flavor starts out dry with sweet/tart middle and a lingering peppery finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, fully carbonated with a tart finish.
IMHO: nothing to write home about. The beer has a nice mouthfeel and a distinctive flavor, but the dryness and bitter finish are not compensated for in the balance. As with most of the higher alcohol beers, it improves as it nears room temp - becoming more smooth and sweet.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Hazy amber-orange beer with a thin white head. Aroma of bubble gum, yeast, sweet malt and citrus. Flavors of light spice - clove and pepper, yeast, and malty sweetness. Slightly high carbonation. Not a strong flavor, but definately better as it warms. Dry crisp finish.

A decent blonde, but a little too bitter and alcoholic. Disappointing, but still an ok beer.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured hazy with a slight head. It smelled sweet but had a more bitter taste than the smell let on. The taste was fruity on the back of the tongue though which made it a nice drinking beer with dinner.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Hazy dark golden appearance with a medium-sized white head. Yeasty and fruity aroma but it’s not pleasant rather unclean and rubbery. Fizzy sweet and yeasty flavour of pear with a small hint of lemon. Unclean yeasty finish. Seems like this brewery has gone commercial...(have only tried the the Dubbel and that was not nice either)

Hazy golden colour with small head. Aroma is malty with some flower. Flavor is dominated by a fine bitterness from the hops, wich gives the beer a rather fresh taste.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap- pedestrian blonde with no distinctive characteristics...however drinking this while at a cafe on the beach in Tel Aviv watching the Mediterranean waters glisten in the moonlight- that’s worth an extra impression point.

Bottled, had at the Dovetail, London.
Golden bright with a soft fluffy white head. Dry, malty flavour that is deep and complex. A sophisticated beer, yet approachable and easily appreciated for those just getting into the sport of beer drinking.
