COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Unfiltered
Bright, yellow-golden with a firm, dense head. Natural carbonation and a carefully balanced aroma of fresh bread, banana spice, citrus and hints of vanilla.
A smooth taste. Malty, nutty softness followed by the roundess of tropical fruit and then a dry, light bitterness. Medium bodied, smooth, round mouth-feel. A bright, refreshing finish. the final note on swirling has stronger notes of banana, yeasty spice and a hoppy aroma.

Bottle. Aroma was pleasant and fruity, but the taste was more than a little disappointing. Can’t say I will ever buy this again...

A froathy white head and a dark yellow body. Aroma has a littel fruit in it, mostly malt. Very powerful sweet flavors in this one. Overall, a pretty good blonde.

Bottle. Very impressive head, with a yellowish color almost like a Pilsner. But also a slightly cloudy look. Aroma is sweet-yeasty, with maybe hints of fruit citrus and coriander. Medium body. Flavor is bitter-sweet but very balanced I thought. Spicy slightly bitter finish. Very drinkable beer I thought.

Cloudy golden color with a scattered white head. Sweet fruity nose with a dose of bready yeast. Sweet malts combine with flavors of vanilla, oranges and spices. Slightly acidic and astringent. Finishes with a clean, dried fruit fade and bitter hops.

Clear see through yellow (pilsner look) with white head. Aroma of yeast & spices. Little alcohol feel. Lively carbonation with an ok filling texture. Dry hoppy and pleasant finish. OK blonde. The Tripel is def. Affligems best!

Sweet, fruity nose. Opaque amber body with a very generous beige head even when poured slowly. Slight yeast deposits at the bottom and in the head. Complex maelstrom of hops and sweet flavors. Some of the most noticeable being malted barley, apple and pear. Palate is very rich and well balanced.

Nice golden body with white thick head. Aromas of white wine and Citrus. Lively Carbonation with a somewhat bitter finish. This is a basic Abbey ale, not wow, but OK.

StompBrockmore (316) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 6, 2006
UPDATED: DEC 1, 2006 Pours sparkling orange with a big, frothy white head. Aroma is sweet and candied, while the flavour builds on this with bready, yeasty flavours mingling with the candied sugar and citrus. There is also a bit of hoppy bitterness in there, but it is not overly pronounced. When it comes to Belgian abbey ales, this one is fairly simple and basic, but still, all in all, very nice nonetheless.
