3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 MereLikesBeer (195) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - APR 23, 2010
I picked up a sixer of this stuff at the grocery store simply because they didn’t have much else. I have tried the Noel from these guys, and it was delicious, so I thought this couldn’t be too bad. I am not disappointed. I love the high carbonation and slight sourness to this beer. It has a nice yeasty aroma, and taste, and is very well rounded. A nice light mouthfeel. Even a few hints of banana and clove. Simple, pretty decent session beer.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Suttree (3766) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 19, 2010
Not really blond, more of an orange - like an attempt at a blond dye job gone bad, i suppose. So, faint aroma of grain and bit of wineyness. Flavor is a little sweet at first, and quite a bit of alcohol. Not really my thing, I guess.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 drpimento (1695) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - APR 14, 2010
Many years ago the Affligem beers were my favs. I recall when the blonde was the shit. I had this one at the Austerlitz train station in Paris and it wasn’t quite like it was. Poured with a small fine off white head and a little lace. Color was a clear amber. Aroma was malty, yeasty with a little phenol. Flavor was the same. Body was on the thin side with good carbonation. Slightly sweet phenol fiish with a medium long fizzy tang. Not bad, not great. Could be a session.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Sledutah (1898) - Utah, USA - APR 10, 2010
330ml bottle in Paris
Appearance: Slightly hazy amber with a large white head, no lacing left behind
Aroma: Citrus, spices and lemon
Taste: Yeast, sharp citrus flavors
Average, not bad.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Rando7 (448) - Iowa, USA - APR 3, 2010
Bottle pour clear amber - no sediment at all which is a change from many other ratings of this beer. Huge frothy white head that lasts forever with great lacing. Taste citrusy and sweet with slightly bitter finish.
Affligen describes this as eminently drinkable and I would agree. A relatively light taste but still interesting.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 estpiwo (938) - ESTONIA - MAR 30, 2010
Draft. Golden-amber color, nice white head. Fruity aroma, maybe some tones of honey. Flavor is fruity too, but more round. Like traditional estonian homebrew. Good.

Murky blonde with a big, foamy white head. Nose is a mix of weak belgian yeast, burned malt, and mild skunkiness. Flavor is a little better with moderate malty sweetness but doesn’t stand out in any real way. I expect more from Belgian ales.

Bouteille de 330ml. bière dorée blonde avec une mousse épaisse blanche. Arôme discret, touche de houblon et quelque peu de houblon. La bouche est sèche, piquante, un peu de grain. bonne amertume. agréable.
