Affligem Blonde, the classic clear blonde abbey ale, with a gentle roundness and 6.8% alcohol. Low on bitterness, it is eminently drinkable.

Golden blonde colour. Fresh clear aroma. Smooth taste, slightly fruity and fresh with a clean aftertaste. Brilliant example of a Blond beer.

Poured orange with a four finger head and a very strong carbonation. There was not a whole lot to the aroma, generally slightly malty. There were some complex peppery, and citrusy notes, mostly orange. The beer is quite dry, and there is a mild hopiness but only a moderate bitterness. The alcohol comes through slightly but not overpowering. Enjoyable.

On tap at Dopey’s Elixir. A very good ale. Apple-colored, frothy. Complex, citrusy taste. Enjoyable.

Pours blond with frothy white 2 finger head that sticks around. Nice aroma and taste from yeast. Some grapefruit and citrus, a little pear and banana. Finish is yeasty with subtle lingering hops. A well crafted brew.

Bottle. Cloudy deep straw color with a large airy head. Beautiful spicy-fruity aroma evokes bubblegum wrapper, flowers, and musk. The flavor combines spice, rum, and maple with hints of banana, galangal, and clove. There is a "taste" of sugar without actually being sweet. On the tongue, the beer feels rich, doughy, and electric with spice and carbonation. Peppery aftertaste is also barley vegetal. Very nice.

Light golden color. Decent foamy head. Slightly sweet, yeasty, and hoppy aroma. Sweet and malty flavor. Raisins and cookies. Not particularly complex. Hoppy, bitter finish. Pretty decent, although nothing really special.

12oz bottle. Pours a nice hazy orange color, with a foamy head. Smells of sweet and fruity with a touch of spice. Has a fruity flavor with a spicy kick and a light bitterness. Nice and crisp. Refreshing and easy drinking Belgian.
