3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Scrapersnbeer (217) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 3, 2011
A nice Belgian ale that smells of the standard yeasts and assorted esters. It is orange and only a little cloudy, with nice head that takes about two minutes to settle. Flavor is a balanced bittersweet, finish is dry. Not absolute best for the style, but that still makes it superior to most.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 neuromatt (610) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 28, 2011
33 cL bottle from the LCBO, served in a Trappist glass. Pours hazy orange-golden with a small, off-white head. The head fades quickly to a thin remnant and leaves behind minimal lace. On the nose, there are notes of pale malt, honey, flowers and a touch of spice. The flavour is moderately honey sweet throughout with just a touch of spiciness for balance. Flowers are present throughout and mild hops enter mid-way, persisting to the finish. The finish is moderate in length and spicy-malty. On the palate, it is medium in body with a smooth, milky texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a decent sweet blond ale with a strong honey character. It is fairly simple and perhaps a bit too sweet for my taste, but it is passable. 2011-10-28

Light honey colored pour. Big white head. Long lasting and plenty of lacing. Metallic aroma and really not much else. Carbonic bite. Dry. Sweet tasting with a hint of yeast. Not overly bad, but not the best.

Nice and blond, nice and strong. Also slightly tainted by the Lager I drank before it.
