330ml bottle (Poirotti, Helsinki) Orange, small head. Heavy dense savoury aroma at first (though after sitting a while), but also some light notes too. Taste is both very light and also pleasantly hoppy. Grapey aroma, white grapes, in the taste too. When warmed and CO2 shaken out with a bit of swirling, the mouthfeel is smooth and tempting - a perfect example of Belgian excellence.

Tap. Malt smells of light cereal, hops of moderate lemon, yeast has notes of light earth and mustiness, and there was white wine and pear in the background. Head is very small, wispy, white, with good lacind and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear amber. Flavor starts very lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes moderately acidic and bitter. Palate is medium, watery, and has a lively carbonation. It finished fairly dry. I liked the digestif qualities of the beer.

12 oz bottle: Aroma is yeast, cloves, orange, almost hefewiezen like in the aroma category. Pours a clear golden color with a huge , but not all foam white head that doe not move from the top of the glass. Taste is got some definite banana notes, wheat, yeast still, and the clove intermingles quite well. palate is tingling on the tongue and a rather lightly sweet aftertaste. Overall, It’s a decent brew. It’s nothing to go out and get right away, but a solid belgian all around.

Tap at Brasserie du Marche, Espalion, France: Clear gold with a classic fluffy white head. Pleasant spicy fake bananas in the nose, and a good whack of wheaty bite followed by a late banana hit on the palate. A nice bit of bite to the finish too. Very refreshing.

Draught. Bright golden with a creamy not that lasting white head. Full of peppery and phenolics from yeast, some grainy sweetness. A bit of funky. Drinkable.

A pretty tasty light beer. Pours golden, with a bittersweet fruity and yeasty flavour to it.
