COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Affligem Blonde, the classic clear blonde abbey ale, with a gentle roundness and 6.8% alcohol. Low on bitterness, it is eminently drinkable.

Pours a thin dark yellow with disappearing coarse head. Far too carbonated and thin a beer. Strong notes of raspberries and white wine, reminiscent of a good champagne, but a poor beer. Some yeasty character is nice, but overall this blond is quit vapid.

Not the best but not bad either. Huge head, nice flavor of spice. Pleasant aroma. Worth a try

On tap at La Matisse, Le Touquet, France. Gold with a small white head. Yeast and citrus aroma. Citrus taste with spices and some alcohol. Low bitterness.

Pours deep yellow with white head. It is a nice drinker but pretty one dimentional. There is some wheat spice and a bit of the belgian yeast comes through.

Bottle, 33 cl. (@ home) This was not the first time taste this beer. Hazy golden color with medium white head. Aroma little malty, a bit yeasty, fruity. Medium body. Taste yeast, sweet, some bitterness. Dry finish. Very drinkable abbay blonde.

Pours a translucent golden color. I could see my finger on the opposite side of the glass through the beer. Small thin white head with a minimal amount of lacing. Smells of cloves and sweet fruit (not quite citrus). Very drinkable brew with a good amount of carbonation that really compliments the mouthfeel. The fact that I can pick this one up at the local grocery store for $11 a sixer gives it a slight bump in my rating.
