COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Affligem Blonde, the classic clear blonde abbey ale, with a gentle roundness and 6.8% alcohol. Low on bitterness, it is eminently drinkable.

330 ml bottle - pours a slightly opaque oney colour with a one-finger white head. Very nice aroma of spice, yeast, citrus, and some banana as well. Almost Wit-like in the nose. Flavour full of yeasty spiciness and very dry in the finish. A certain orange-peel spice in there as well. Yes, eminently drinkable as the description suggests, though at 6.8%, that could get dangerous......Not hugely complex on the palate, but a very enjoyable Belgian.

A quite clear beer with a smallish head. Aroma is of oranges, cariander and yeasty esters. The flavour is nice and rather hoppy for a blonde. Very balanced notes of citrus, yeast, malt and hops. A little bitter. Fine and straight to the point.

When I had removed the metal that holds the cap it exploded right up my face! It should come with a warning label! Too much carbonation in my opinion! No bottle should explode like that when you are just holding it. the aroma is yeasty and perhaps a bit fruity, the flavor is similar especially yeasty - not the best blonde I have tasted, but still a good one. Remind me of witbier.

Bottle-Memphis. TONS of carbonation! Big white head that stuck around for the duration. Flavor was sweet, bready, yeasty, and warming to the stomach. The bottle was noticably heavier than a typical non-twist bottle.

Flaske. Udemærket blonde, meget livlig og karbonerende. Kraftig smagende gær, men CO2 overtog det meste.

(Bought in Dunnes Stores) Pours a cloudyish straw colour with a small but stable head. It has a lightly fruity aroma and a smooth ever so subtle banana flavour with a short and enjoyable finish.

12 oz bottle into a goblet. Beautiful hazy gold beer with ample white Belgian lace. The aroma is very fruity (banana, apricot, pineapple). Taste is dominated by fruit and spices (clove, black pepper). Also a note of clover honey. Finishes dry and just slightly bitter. The best Belgian blond I’ve tasted.

Misty gold with a billowy white head and clinging lace. Invitingly peppery tropical fruit aroma with hints of banana, apple and alcohol. Mellow, fruity and Leffe-ishly spicy with a touch more bitterness in the finish, and a hint of hop presence about it. Superior spicy Blond.
