Light yellow in colour, with a nice head. Estery aromas - some tropical fruits, banana and such combined with a good deal of citrus and sourness. Wheaty in taste, well carbonated and nice bitterness. Probably a good blond, just not my style of beer.

It poured a golden-yellow color with orange highlights. The aroma was of musty hints of banana peel and white pepper. The taste was very grainy, mild malt sweetness and well carbonated.

Chris at Ebenezer Kezar opened a 1953 bottle of this for us. Not sure which one it was, since it just had Affligem etched on the bottle. It was still more or less drinkable, very oxidized of course, but was still recognizable as a beer. A beer older than me.

Bouteille de 25cl, titre à 6,7%. Couleur dorée limpide, mousse moyenne-faible de tenue moyenne. Une attaque fruitée, pas mal d’épices, une finale un peu sèche. Carbonnation moyenne. Une alternative sérieuse à la Leffe blonde. A voir en bouteille de 33cl. Trouvée à Intermarché - Montigny en Gohelle

Hazy dark yellow with a big white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity, yeasty and spicy. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. 150108

Pours a transparent golden honey with a white three finger head that dissipates rapidly leaving a one finger head. Nose is citrus, lemon, orange syrup, pineapple, yeast, wheat, dark bread, honey, caramel, green apples, champagne, coriander, cloves and a hint of banana. Mouth feel is medium-thin and highly carbonated. Taste is champagne-like at first. Fresh, bubbly floral, and a bit sour with apples and green grapes, lemon, wheat, honey, yeast, white wine, dark bread, and spice. Finish Is long and dry leaving citrus, banana, and yeast on the palate. A refreshing, light and fruity brew.

330mL bottle poured hazy blonde into goblet with white head falling to small lacing. Aroma of yeast, caramel and clove. Taste is sweet with some spicy aftertaste and no discernable bitterness.
