COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Affligem Blonde, the classic clear blonde abbey ale, with a gentle roundness and 6.8% alcohol. Low on bitterness, it is eminently drinkable.

Bottle 6.8%. Hazy orange with a big off white rocky head that left no lacings (feels like it should. The crappy place i had it at might be the clue for some reason). The aroma is a bit yeasty with a lot of citrus notes like oranges but also apples and some spice and cookies. Taste is citrusy with oranges and apples, clove and some coriander and cookie sweetnes. Medium body with soft but a bit tickeling carbonation. A citrusy and easygoing belgian with high drinkability.

Oh yeah! Incredibly drinkable for being a 7 percenter. Pours a pale to amber colour, light tasting. Will be revisiting.

Appearance: lightly hazy (with yeast) golden pour; huge puffy white head shrinking to a thick creamy cap; tons of thick, shimmery lace. Aroma: pie crust, sweet grains, yeast, citrus, a little white pepper. Taste: crackery, yeasty, slightly sweet, with mellow aromatic hops and a nice bright spicyness. Finish: smooth, clean, slightly sweet (lingering crackery malts) and slightly bitter; subsequent burps are strongly of grapefruit. Notes: Extraordinarily drinkable, with a creamy-light palate and very well-balanced flavors. Perfect example of one of my very favorite styles of beer.
