(bottle) Pale orange colour with firm rocky head with nice lace. Fruity aroma with orange peels and yeast. Flavour is initially sweet and becomes a bit alcoholic at the end. Sweet malty taste with a rather dry finish. This Belgian Ale is ok, but could be better balanced.

Bottle. Clear amber color with a huge frothy white head that was lasting and produced good lacing. Average citrus and pine aroma. Medium body. Moderate spicy bitter flavor with medium finish. Very refreshing.

pivnizub (7225) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - DEC 21, 2009
Bottle: Golden, hazy with plenty of UFO’s, stable medium-sized creamy off-white head; moderate to solid sweetish citrussy and honeyish nose; creamy MF, medium bodied, moderate sweet-bitter flavour with a light acidity; citrus-fruits detectable in the light to moderate sweetish-sourish finish. Not too complex, but very pleasant......

A Mes rate: Not really my thing at all but for what it is I think it’s fairly decent. On the darker side of golden. Melon and banana in the malty aroma. Toffee flavour with a very slight tartness that is a plus point. Nice crisp finish. Not bad.

Bottled. Limpid gold colour with a hint of orange. Sweet apple and malt aroma with slight vinous notes and a hint of orange peel. Very clean palate - citric witha good sharp tang. None of the cloying sweetness that some other commercial "Abbey" beers have. Bittersweet finish with a very slight metallic edge. Overall, a very acceptable, easy drinking beer.

Poured a lighter yellow color with a large white head. Fruity, spicey and yeasty aroma and smells. Fizzy body. Spicey aftertaste. Overall not a bad beer.

Koelschtrinker (7034) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 3, 2011
Süßer Lebkuchengeruch, etwas nach Schokolade. Süß-herber Antrunk, ausgewogen. Sehr gewürzig und eigen werdend, z.T. im hinteren Bereich unstimmig. Gewürzig-bitter im Abgang, zu krass, daher disharmonisch. 8/8/9/9/10/8
