4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 Stellaaaa (213) - Tennessee, USA - JAN 23, 2010
Pours a rich orange with a thick white head and lots of white sediment floating around in the beer itself. This beer is probably one of the tastiest looking beers I’ve ever laid eyes on. It has a rich, malty aroma with a nice balance of hops and a slightly citrus hop note way in the back creating a very balanced and, most importantly, unique aroma that is neither too weak nor a veritable copycat of every other beer.
The taste is, likewise, of a rich malt with a definite earthiness that reminds me of lentils. It has just enough sweetness to do the palate justice without being so sweet that it would ruin the taste of the malt. It also has a very yeasty aftertaste that mingles well with the flavour of the beer.

This is a great all around beligian beer. Has a very nice spicy texture to it. You can taste the classic beligian yeasty champagne flavor really well. Head also pours a nice and fluffy.

4.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Papillon (280) - Sudbury, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 4, 2010
330 mL Bottle. Slightly murky gold body with a large foamy white head that settles to a clingy layer leaving ample lacing. Aroma malty-grainy-yeasty with fruity accents of apple, plum, and banana, and a pronounced floral note. Smooth tasting all the way; light malt body with a hint of caramel and a complex fruity-floral character. Banana, treacle, and subtle hint of bubblegum in the aftertaste, smooth creamy finish.

This is a lofty blonde ale. It is one of the easiest drinking beers I have ever encountered. IT is a nice blonde color with a yeast dominant taste and smell..

33cl bottle from a local supermarket. It pours a little cloudy golden liquid with an enormous white spongy head that lasts throughout the beer, leaving some nice lacing. The aroma is very intense and complex, with spices, vanilla, some herbal hops and caramelly malts. There is also a fresh bready odour that makes it very enjoyable. It tastes likewise, with an intenser maltiness. It is medium sweet and light bitter. Mild but lively carbonation, with a thick mouthfeel and medium-full body. It ends very dry and little bitter, and somehow sweet. Nice herbal and honey-like aftertaste. A very enjoyable beer with a nice abbey-like presentation. Very drinkable; a fav within abbey blondes.
