Brewed for the 950th Anniversary of the abbey, 950 Cuvee is a blonde ale "quadruple hopped" for added spicy/grassiness with a dry, slightly bitter finish.

Bottle @ Greg’s dump, courtesy of the ole rotter. Pours a fairly hazy yellow orange appearance with a white head. Banana, big vanilla, citrusy, somewhat spicy yeasty, bubblegum aroma. A touch tart lemon/banana, big vanilla, somewhat sweet malty flavor. Kind of fruity. Not bad.

750ml cork/caged bottle - The beer pours out a slightly hazy dark golden body with a fluffly white cap. Aroma has some bubblegum, light bread dough, fruit juice and mineral water. Flavor provides light-medium sweetness, banana-like flavors, plain candi-sugars and a long fruity finish. A rather subtle Belgian, and I don’t get the "quadruple hops". It tastes like a hefe combined with a Belgian ale. Not bad.

0,33cl. Dobrze wygladajacy i nachmielony belgijski ale. Klasztorna receptura, lekkie zmetnienie i spora piana utrzymywujaca sie do konca degustacji. Aromat gruszkowo morelowy. Owocowosc jednak przykryta aromatycznym chmielem. Koncowka orzezwiajaca i lekko wytrawna

Golden pour with a white head. The aroma has some biscuit notes with some orange citrus. The flavor is full of orange, toffee, biscuit malt and yeast. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

A decent abbey beer, but it doesn’t really compare to the subtlety and balance of the regular offerings. The additional hops offer a slightly more bitter sensation, grassy, with bits of lemonyness.

From the corked, caged bottle stamped 12-117-01/14:11-1171. The pour is is orange-copper with a modest off-white head and floating sediment. I love floatees. The aroma is on the subtle side but it does have the Belgian malt and sugar characters as well as grass and cellar mustiness. The body is light to medium. There is nothing in-your-face about the taste. It has a mellower maltiness, pepper spice, and a slightly lingering dry finish. But it was a nice one.
