Clarté nette si l’on verse lentement.

Pretty nice all the way around. Claims to be fairly hoppy but really is just a slightly hoppy version of the blonde ale, and at that is tastier than many of the Belgian-style IPAs. Nice.

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2013 Bottle pours clear gold with soapy white head. Light fruit, straw, earth, cloves, pepper, banana. Body is lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Body is lively with creamy undertones. On the light side. OK as a session beer.

Quite foamy with three fingers of head on a hazy, golden colored body. The aroma is yeast, bread and lemon. A nice combination. The taste is light lemon with a distinctive Belgian yeast flavor. There’s the slightest metallic flavor in the middle. The texture is crisp with a little fizz and moderate carbonation. An enjoyable ale.

Bottle from Au Grain d’Orge, Crissier, bb 10.04.14
Beautiful golden color, clean, with generous head. The aroma is delicate and spicy. Smooth mouthfeel; the malt flavor hs a light sweetness, very light fruity touch, and reasonable spiciness; correct bitterness; light mint impression in the final.
Basic but not bad.

330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy and slightly yeasty aroma. Taste is bitter, grainy, minimally spicy yeasty. Uninspired.

750ml bottle elegantly served in ice bucket and snifters at Downtown, in San Juan. Bananas, yeast and sweet fruit. Cloudy golden yellow, slight foamy head. Slight funky aftertaste. Very nice end of an evening with friends.

Corked bottle and served in Duvel snifter: Pours a clean deep golden hue with a mostly lasting frothy head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of herbal bittering hops, a touch of apple skins, biscuity malts, hint of light crystal and plenty of Belgian yeast esters of bubblegum, banana and clove. The taste is still mostly malt and yeast driven but you can indeed notice the increased bitterness. There is a moderate hop spice and leafy tone about the midsection. The finish is earthy and a bit astringent. The mouth feel is lively but not has crisp as I would have hoped. It is a good beer but I would much rather have a Duvel Tripel Hop over this.
