Bottle, 6.5%. 15 months past BB date. Weak ale aroma, slightly sweet and malty. Nice brown colour, big stable light brown head. The flavour is malty and faintly spicy. Quite subtle but well-balanced and nicely drinkable. Does not taste past BB date.

Bottle sampled at Essen Winterbeer Festival 2014. Pours clear golden brown with an off white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, malt and spices. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottled, Kerstbierfestival, Essen. Deep amber colour, small white head. Aroma is caramel, spices, sweet malts in a pleasant mix. Flavour is the same along with some rather grassy hops in it. Pleasantly balanced.

Bottle @ Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen, BE. Clear medium to dark amber color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, brown sugar, marzipan, star anis. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (151207)

Draught @ Waterfront Ale House. Brown with reddish tint, small foamy beige head, spicy caramel aroma, mocha-caramel taste, creamy texture, medium carbonation, abrupt finish with chocolate aftertaste. Very nice and fulfilling.
