A reddish-brown abbey ale brewed with dark malts. The secondary fermentation gives a fruity aroma and a unique spicy character with a distinctive aftertaste. Secondary fermentation in the bottle. (Serving temperature: 8-10şC)

33 cl bottle @ home. Hazy caramelbrown beer, medium beige head. Aroma is mix of caramel and dark fruits. Taste is mostly sweet with slight bitterness. I like the blond version better.

Masszív testéhez egyenes út vezet illatának világától, vaskos kötegekbe fogott ízjegyek ontják magukból a borszerűen érett, mégis pezsdítően friss zamatokat. Egy csipetnyi karamell, kevés élesztő és egy adag gyümölcsaszalvány folyékony keverékére bőkezűen megszórt télies fűszerek rafinériája kerül, s bár a módszer unalomig ismert, az eredmény magáért beszél.

Pours deep ruby with heavy tan head. Aroma is high: fig leaf, butterscotch, caramel, chocolate. Powerful yet soft. Sweetish, fizzy, pleasantly metallic. Slightly bitter long ending. Nice.

chinchill (3013) - South Carolina, USA - MAY 27, 2015
300 ml bottle purchased in Greece and enjoyed in Delphi. Poured with a huge foamy head over a small brown body. Several pours needed to empty the bottle. Alcohol is not as well hidden as expected but the alcohol esters do blend nicely with the other flavors. Moderate complexity, including dark dried fruits, soft ripe fruits and pepper.

330 ml bottle pours a hazy reddish brown, light beige cap. Nice nose of sweet malt and very sweet, ripe fruits, bit of banana. Tastes great, malt and ripe fruits again which give way to a really interesting sour, warm and slightly salty finish. Good creamy mouth feel with enough carbonation to carry everything through. Very good.

Reddish amber, medium white head with spotty lacing. Nose is dried fruity, malty, spicy, metallic notes, probably from the yeast. Flavor is toasty malt, dried fruit, yeasty notes, coriander. Finishes with malty caramel sweetness. Pretty decent.

330ml bottle from Belgium in a Box - Brown coloured body, slightly opaque with a long-lasting cream-colored head. Wonderful aroma - fruity and nutmeg with a hint of butter. Taste is sweet, with light bitterness, and long length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Really nice.
