Bottle . Pours deep and dark amber / brown . Light for brown, but too dark for amber. Foam is fluffy , and good in size . Smell is metallic . bit bitter. Not as sweet as expected . Some earth ( leaves ) . A certain sweet aspect I can not quite place.... Taste is bit sweet, some metallic chocolate, minty aspect. Leaves, bit buttery ( creamy ) . Mouthfeel is to the thin side. Carbonation is high, yet not too high . Some anis in the warmed-up-taste . Perhaps this is the ’minty’ character . Not my thing, personally , yet I am happily surprised, as I expected a simple, sweet beer , like so many others in this style

Deze in de ster nieuwkuijk gedronken van de fles. Was er niet weg van. Na 1 flesje had ik het weer gezien.

Nice brown color that pours well. Carbonated nicely, drinks relatively smoothly for a beer of this style. Somewhat sweet for my liking but all in all a good beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A very good beer. But the aroma is better than the taste. Is a complex beer with a lot of flavors, include toasted, caramel, spice and the sensation of alcoholic. About the style of Belgian Dubbel, this beer is almost perfect!

Dark amber color with reddish notes and a rich white foam. Aroma is floral, with roasted malts, ripe fruits and herbs. Taste is rich in roasted malts, yeast and ripe fruits again. Aftertaste is extremely short lasting and flat. Not th best Dubbel on the market.

Nice belgian style dubbel. Fine aroma and a sweet body. Feels kind of basic stuff compared to some other dubbel beers, because theres not so much character.

Bottle (330 ml). Hazy brown with a small/medium beige head and little lacing. Aroma is of molasses, spices, dark fruits and a touch of alcohol. Taste is a tad more spicy and aroma so the molasses came second and his followed by dark fruits and, again, a touch of alcohol. Medium body. Maybe a tad week for the style. Medium carbonation. Slightly spicy finish. Quite decent Dubbel. Lack a bit of body, but it’s quite tasty nonetheless.
