Bottle from The Beerhive. Clear ruby body with a thin beige head that slowly fades. Aroma of metal, cherry, syrup and a faint hint of marzipan. Flavour of honeycomb, plum and pot puri. Bitter metallic tang. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Not the best Dubbel I’ve ever had - lacking a bit in body and certainly in complexity.

Pours out of the bottle in a nice deep dark brown colour with steady creamy head and smooth body. Aroma of malt and gulasch. Taste of meat broth, gulasch, malt and sour berries. Awful finish of meat broth with noodles in it. Disgusting.

750ml bottle. Pours a rich honey amber. Taste of sweet caramel. Heavy enough for those colder nights but not dry. Delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, 330 ml. Pours deep, clear amber with a quickly dissipating soapy tan head. Lot of biscuit-y malts on the nose with a small amount of honey and citrus. Quite a creamy, buttery taste that’s somewhat akin to Hoegaarden with the malts, again with shortbread biscuits being the protagonists here. Notes of creamy mashed potatoes for some reason and some rather herbal hops too. Medium bitterness on the back end and a pair amount of carbonation, perhaps a little too much, but that doesn’t take a lot away for me.
