Aroma: Medium rich, malty, molasses, plums, banana bread. Appearance: Brilliant copper body. Medium tan head, fair retention. Flavour: Medium malty, bready, molasses. Medium-light alcohol, floral, rose. Light bitterness. Medium-dry finish with lingering light molasses/licorice. Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-high carbonation. Light warming. Overall: A great beer, but missing the head retention and the malt complexity. 300 ml bottle, poured. Thanks Andre! 26B. Belgian Dubbel

30cl bottle, served in Trappist chalice. Poured a hazy chestnut brown with a one finger tan head. Swirled the bottle a few times around before pouring the last 10% out of the bottle to get all of the yeast out for maximum flavour. Aromas of caramel, flowers, hazelnuts, cinnamon. Tastes of caramel, cloves, orange, banana, raisins. Medium body with a pretty creamy, fruity, bitter and spicy finish. Overall a fruity and a bit too spicy dubbel. I expected more from this brew. Perhaps swirling the bottle around for that last bit of yeast in the bottle wasn’t that good an idea...

0.3 l bottle from local AH, bottled in April 2015. Clear, reddish amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, tan head. Sweetish-malty, slightly spicy aroma of treacle, brown sugar, toffee, milk chocolate and spices (coriander?). Sweet, malty and spicy taste of milk chocolate, brown sugar, toffee and spices, followed by a medium long, medium bitter, yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, creamy to sticky mouthfeel, average carbonation. Okay, but way too sweet and spicy for me. Not that easy to drink.

Flaska på Stallyktan, Örebro. Söt och lite honung i doften. Kakdeg, övermogen frukt, jäst och främst fikon/russin/torkat plommon. Något mer matt och tunnare i smaken. Fortfarande torkad frukt. Lätt efterbeska.

Pours nice red-brown with a small, short lasting head. Spicey taste with tones of caramel and a bittersweet finish. Good belgian abbey beer.

Bottle. BB 09/07/16. Hazy coppery brown with a big beige head that drops quite fast. The aroma is candi sugar at first, then becoming more fruity and earthy. Some alcohol shines through at times. Tastes semisweet, fruity and nutty, slightly caramelly, with earthy (black tea) flavoured bitterness. A touch metallic. Active carbonation. Thin. OK at best.

Tasted at the sumi restaurant Tilburg. Sweet malts in the nose, caramel, sweets, candy. Color is rusty brown, dark orange. Rather sweet, pretty clean flavor. Boring after all.
