UPDATED: NOV 8, 2006 Dark brown, slightly carbonated. Thick, frothy beige head leaves alot of lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet brown fruit (fig, raisin, plum). Flavor of roasted barley malts at first with excellent hops balance throughout. The fruitiness hits later in the aftertaste (raisins, apples). Mouthfeel is creamy and rich with hardly any alcohol discernable with a dry finish. Makes me think of what you would get brewing a hybrid Belgian / Porter... Excellent beer!

Powerful aroma with caramel, alcohol and a easily sour rum-like aroma with notes of pear cider. Very nice caramel-flavor, but it dissapears very quickly and turns into a little sour alcohol-flavor. At the same time, the beer becomes very thin, which haven’t been before. The aftertaste is marked by alcohol, a little caramel, and a nice bitter hopped finish. I miss a longer lasting caramel-flavor, and more sturdyness.

Reddish brown coloured. Fruity and malty aroma. This is a light bodied beer with a creamy texture that is just a bit thin. Has flavors of nuts, caramel, and malt.

Very funny! I havent gor the same taste as my brother Grovlam. But the funny storie is that we are drinking the same beers even though we are in two parts of the country. I think the taste of this bottled beer is a bit flat and the taste that is left behind ind the mouth is better than the immidiate taste. Hey bro’ watch out you are drinking to many beers!

Bottled. Dark-Amber like color with a cloudy look to it. Head was nice white and full, that lasted for some time. Aroma was spicy, coriander, malt and maybe some hints of citrus, dry dark fruits. Flavor was medium sweet, with some light notes of bitterness. Body was medium. Very smooth and drinkable Dubbel I thought. Nice lasting aftertaste of spice, caramel and spicy.
