Bottle at home. Reddish brown, huge fluffy cream colored head on the initial pour, recedes rather quickly. Aroma is raisins, sherry, ripe red plums, distant chocolate, a hint of phenol. The mouthfeel is spritzy and effervescent. Medium bodied. Lots of ripe red fruits. Also cooked fruit flavors. Slight oxidized flavor. Belgian yeast. Good spice palate. Slightly dry finish. Overall very good, drier than a lot of dubbels, not overloaded with candy sugars, and interesting fruitiness.

The beer has a light ruby red color, a little bit towards the orange spectrum. There is a soft almond colored foam on top of the beer. The smell is nice. There is a fruity sweetness, and some raisin. You can smell some sweet alcohol. There is a peppery aroma, which is nice. Not very special but definitely not bad. The taste nice, but it lacks strength. The tastes could be stronger to make the beer more tasteful. The beer has a nice hoppy bitterness and some dark raisin tastes. Really nice. Because the tastes aren’t that strong, the beer is a little watery.

Aroma: Brown sugar, caramel, cherry, fruits in general. Appearance: Brown/red/ruby beer beer with a persistent off-white foamy head. Taste/Palate: Starts with caramel en fruit, ends bitter. Overall: A really nice Dubbel which smells amazing and has a rich taste.

@ Kallithea Beach, Rhodes 150707. Bottle (300 ml) from Carrefour. Fruity, malty and caramely with spicy notes and dried fruits, sweet, medium to full body with an oily texture. The finish is dry and malty with dried fruits.

Showers dark brown out of the bottle to my floor. Beige foam on my table. Nose is dark and dried fruits, candy sugar, caramel, malts, plum. Taste is brown sugar, dark fruits, spices, caramel sweetness. Slightly boozy. Nice aroma and not bad taste but lacks some depth and complexity.
