3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 Beerenberger (789) - Fischer, Texas, USA - NOV 12, 2012Dark fruit - figs and raisins comprise the nose. Pours a dark brown with mostly diminishing tan head and no lacing. The taste is lightly sweet with notes of figs, raisins, and sweet malts. Medium-light bodied with crisp carbonation. Overall, a good example of a Dubbel. Would drink again.

Amber colour, clear. Medium head, weak retention. Smells sweet, caramel. Taste: very sweet caramel and malts. Then, strong carbonation ending in a short lived very mild bitter and sweet aftertaste. Little character or balance. Not impressive.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 kevinator (322) - The Colony, Texas, USA - APR 20, 2013
Decent Dubbel but needed a little more umph. Nice standard bready and malty aroma that goes with the style. Maybe some added spice. The color was a bread-crust brown with a small head that quickly dissipated. Malt backbone that was not heavy. A little sharp aftertaste but not distasteful. No recognizable hops presence.
