4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Red brown color, off white head. Has a very herbal and spicy base which gives a medicinal (cough sirup) effect together with the caramel and licorice flavors. Itís not overly sweet and medium dry in the finish. A very well balanced beer that doesnít taste like 90% of the other "dubbel" (double) beers. Itís best feature is that every sip gives a different flavor nuance. It stays fresh and exciting to drink.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Donít know why this gets the rating it has, itís just not a great dubbel. It has a nice ruby colour, but the smell and taste are metallic and the caramel is not nice, almost burned. Itís a bit artificial for my taste.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours deep amber with a big beige head and nice lacing. Aroma of liquorice, caramel, candy, citrus, spice, some herbal notes. Nicely balanced taste: medium sweetness and sourness just slightly ahead of crispy light/medium bitterness, grapefruity bitter finish. High carbonation, medium body, nice alcoholic warmth on finish. Great!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours hazy, deep amber body with medium sized, slightly off-white head. Nose is malty and slightly boozy, lots of caramel and licorice, very grassy.
Medium body with high and lively carbonation. Smooth on the tongue. Taste combines the sweetness of malts with bitternes of alcohol, nicely balanced. Aroma of malts, yeast, caramel, syrup, liquor, toffee. Herbal and floral, very nice. Finish is long and slightly boozy.
Overall, lovely brew.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A 0.33 l bottle that poured a clear copper body with a medium sized head. Caramel, some barley and fruity aroma. Flavor was sweet, barley notes grown into wet stale hay, with dogfood and some caramel to round it up. Not the best around, although not so ugly as it might sound now. Not spicy at all. Medium bodied with altbier-ish but also sweet caramel finish. Not really a good dubbel, surprised to see its high score here.

Al palato fedele al naso con un finale amaricante tostato e lievemente erbaceo accompagnato da leggere note di uva passa.
Corpo tra il medio ed il medio-pieno, mediamente carbonata, texture acquosa.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Courtesy of heavy, shared with him & others. 0.3l bottle, brewed at Alken Maes. Seems our Heineken subsidiary expanded their range a little. Clear coppery red body, slightly fizzy, with a tiny off white head. Nice, very fruity sweet caramelly malty aroma, candyish yet fresh, dried apricot maybe. Strange, but in a good way. Dry, grainy taste, caramel, light Speculaas-like spice notes. Ok, definitely a good beer, one of the best fake craft macro beers around.
