Dark drown with a little ruby tint. Aroma of caramel malts. Taste is grainy malty chocolate with a bit of hop to round it off. Very good.

(BJCP Class) Strong candy Carmel aroma. Nice dark brown color light head. Strong malt presence and the flavor give off both the dry fruit and malt taste. Smooth/dry/nice beer. Not overwhelming in the alcohol. I liked this beer. Finally a Belgian I can drink and enjoy.

750ml corked bottle. Burgundy amber color, Fluffy off white head that fades after a few minutes. Nutty, raisiny, lots of dark fruit. Relatively mild, especially considering the bold aroma. Mellow, more fruity, almost more of an amber than a really dark, brown sugary Dubbel. Enjoyable, drinkable, fresh and vibrant. Excellent doughy mouthfeel, light and fluffy on the palate. A classic.

1 Pint Bottle. Deep brown coloring with tan foam that reduces quickly. Sweet smell of malt and sugars with a bit of fruit. Smooth flavor with a spicy finish. A very good dubbel.

From old notes. Pours a cloudy brown with traces of yeast. Aroma of sweet malts, alcohol, and vanilla. Flavour is more intense than aroma. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPad

Tremendous aroma that brings to mind a warm slice of cinnamon apple pie. Also some caramel and vanilla accents play in this. Just plain fun to smell. Pours a dark, murky, orange/brown with a this but tight light tan head. Sweet and tart on sipping. Very nice balance between the two. Very slight mustiness comes in and a distinct spicy hop flavor in the finish. Briskly carbonated. Finishes dry. A very well crafted beer.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2012 Bottle in Visby. Amber colour with a off white head. Fruity nose. Hard too describe why this is an outstanding beer, becouse the flavour are standard medium caramel, fruity and light hoppy. But it gives a nice warm mouthfeel that most beers dont :-)

330 mL Bottle. Murky amber-ruby body with a 3-finger pale beige head that settles to a tenacious foamy layer leaving ample lace. Mild but sweet aroma of malts with fruity-floral notes and yeast, very pleasant on the nose. Rich flavor of sweet and dark malts with notes of plum, raisins, and innuendos of banana and lychee fruit. A bit of hop bitter comes through in the aftertaste followed by a smooth creamy finish. Loud but smooth in every aspect.

A mysterious brew. A deep, copper colour with a huge, frothy head. Very hoppy bitterness with strong aroma of plums and berries. Should be drunk while seated in a small room, while facing East and listening to Led Zeppelin’s Physical Graffiti.
