Bottle shared with a friend. Poured brown into an Affligem trappist glass. Tangy on the palate with taste of brown sugar, coriander, yeast. Wasnt the most pleasing drink, but a decent dubbel.

Jul 2, 2008 750ml bottle, pours a clear red/brown with big frothy off-white head. Aroma not very strong for a Belgian dubbel, light scent of malt and fruit, with some acidic character and alcohol. Taste is of fruit and yeasty malt, somewhat acidic. Mouthfeel is very watery, not rich like most Belgians. Compared to other trappist ales, this one is lacking.

Jun 27, 2008 I think I had this one for the first time in the over-priced bar/restaurant in the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Appearance: Dark brown. Nice amount of head.
Aroma: Malty and fruity.
Taste: Fresh. Malty and fruity.

does not count  Jun 8, 2008 Really aromatic beer with some citric touch(orange like) and laces of toasted malt. You can feel a sweet and acidic inicial flavor that lasts. Ligth brown head and quite fizzy. With lively carbonation it has a watery texture.

Jun 8, 2008 75cl bottle from Publix Supermarkets (Tampa). Pours a dark brown with one finger white-tan head. Good head retention. Smells of flowers, a little citrus, hint of molasses, and sweet aromas. Tastes of rich deep barley, slight chocolate, finishes slightly bitter.
