My glass looked like hell--the last snifter out of a 750mL bottle, full of yeast that was hard to decant out. But it tasted great--slightly spicy, sweet, chocalatey flavor, with strong hints of prunes. Alcohol was well-hidden among all the flavors; very pleasurable.

A double with a kick. Alot of caramel flavor with spicy undertones.

I decent addition to the great line of Belgian Noel style beers, not great though, Spices come through faintly, sweet, malty, nice balance considering the strength.

Disappointing because I love Affligem’s yeasty, brett-laden brews. This is definitely not par. The spice was there with primarily malt flavors of the carmel variety. The sweetness also detracted from Affligem’s typical champagne-like speed of ingestion.

sweet and crisp seasonal. well spiced with cloves cinnamon and a cocoa like flavour. sugary taste detracts from the overall quality of the brew nice red colour and great aroma

This beer is creamy with hints of sweetness. My bottle was only a couple of months old, but I bet it will be great in years to come. Very smooth.

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2003 One darn good seasonal. True to the belgian style with lots of yeasty flavors and chocolatey notes. Figgy and soothing, creamy mouthfeel. Ages very well.
