33cl bottle at home: Brilliant old gold with a massive, slowly fading, yellowed head. First impressions are of earthy hops wrapped in tinfoil. Wow, really aluminum character with hops and some breadiness. Yeast is quite abundant in the nose as well with some alcohol fighting its way through. Taste starts out with brad, yeast and pretty sharp tinny hops. Can’t get away from this metallic character. Alcohol, bread and biscuit take you through the middle to a nicely hoppy (for a belgian) finish. Light mouthfeel. A bit of raw earth in the back of the throat with tin and hops working their way back to meet the earth. The metal seems to work itself out in the flavor but never leaves the aroma.

Pours a deep gold with a large off white head. Nose is a bit sharp, sweet and alcohol notes even though it is not high. Flavor sweet and hoppy, with predominant dryness.

Had this at a La Mort Subite on 12-08-10 (4,90 euro). Golden amber color similar to apple juice with a think white head. Lots of carbonation coming through. Sweet and malty notes with a crisp, clean mouth feel. Similar to a Pilsner.

Beautiful golden/orange colour, firm head and good carbonation. Fresh lively beer, a bit of citrus, grassy, hoppy. Medium bodied with a long dry aftertaste.

Tasting on a winter evening with a great bitter beer. Affligem patersvat has fine hoppy tast long after taste and great balance of bitterness sweets and acidity . Bitter in balance like it has to be. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone By Belleketels

Clove and coriander. Good looking with a thick white head. dry finish. Wouldn’t mind getting my hands on some a bit closer to the brewery - it might taste of hops.
