On tap at restaurant in Paris, labelled as Fruits Rouge, glass was even labelled the same, with a red stem. Pours medium red, virtually no head. Aroma is fruit syrup, mostly strawberry. Flavor was a sickeningly sweet match, strawberry, a hint of cherry, and something sort of reminiscent of boysenberry syrup. On occasion, if you swallowed just right, it was just fruity and almost refreshing. But then reality hit, and the saccharine fake fruit sweetness just crashed down and ruined everything. No beer apparent underneath this atrocity. Yikes it was bad.

Tap at Jeanette & les Cycleux. Clear amber with big pale pink head. Bubblegum, light red berries, raspberries, cherry soda, light caramel, light grassy. Under medium sweet with a tart touch and a soft chemical bitter finish. Under medium bodied with a bit of a dry feel. Watery and artificial and the finish is quite nasty, but at least it’s not cloyingly sweet I guess.

On tap @ Milano Beer Week.

Pale red with big thick head, smells like candy, red berries and some alcohol. Fizzy carbonation but quite nice.

Keg from duchamp in venice. Clear copper with nice frothy white head, good lacing. Malty and sweet aroma with honey. Taste is very slightly sour, but mostly sweet. Lingering mild bitterness. Subtle carb, and medium body. Note: didn’t know this was supposed to be a fruit beer until I came to upload the rating! Least I picked up the sourness!
