COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The king of the abbey beers. It is amber-gold and pours with a deep head and original aroma, delivering a complex, full bodied flavour. Pure enjoyment! Secondary fermentation in the bottle. (Temp: 8-10ºC)

Bottle, 300 ml. Pours clear light amber/blonde with a minimal amount of soapy white head. Big honey note on the nose, with some biscuit malts, spices, and perhaps a little bit of citrus. Getting some alcohol on the nose too. Citrus notes are more pronounced in the taste, and I can narrow them down to lemon, which mixes in very nicely with the honey and the biscuit malts. Not as boozy as I was expecting from the aroma but the high ABV shows itself in the best possible way in the very satisfying level of warmth in the throat this stuff imparts, reminiscent of Rochefort 8 in that regard. Moderate carbonation means this isn’t as smooth as it perhaps could have been, but other than that, a fine brew.

Pours a nice slightly hazy golden color with white head. Citrus, yeast, and some light fruits on the nose; follows onto the palate. A raw wheat note arises on the finish.

Bottle. Mostly clear deep golden color with a thin white head. For a tripel this has relatively mild aroma of yeast. Medium sour and bitter taste. Medium body.

Blond dress, supported by a dense and creamy foam. Smells of malt and hops emerges. Sweet rich flavors of fruits. A good one

StoutHead (605) - DENMARK - MAY 12, 2014
Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with huge white head. This particular beer did NOT want to wait until I was ready. Be careful when pouring. Aroma of malt, caramel, friuts and yeast. Taste is of malt, spices, light fruits and nuts. It’s sweet with a slightly bitter finish. Full-ish body and average carbonation. Not bad, but very ordinary for a Belgian Tripel.

Aroma van dopheide en lentehoning, licht hoppig. Schuim zakt snel weg, zoet fris en voldoende koolzuur, wel met de rijke volle smaak van een abdij tripel, maar niet verassend zoals de affligem blond.

33cl bottle poured in a Delirium Tremens glass. Pours a rather well carbonated straw colour with a nice amount of white fluffy head, Quite a strong aroma of fruitiness with a spicy background. Taste is sweet fruits and herbal spices with a nice dry(ish) finish. A good example of the style.
