COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The king of the abbey beers. It is amber-gold and pours with a deep head and original aroma, delivering a complex, full bodied flavour. Pure enjoyment! Secondary fermentation in the bottle. (Temp: 8-10ºC)

330ml bottle. Pours golden yellow with an average white head with fair lacing. Relativly quickly dissipating. Aroma of malt, caramel, yeast, fruit, alcohol and some hops. Taste is relatively dry and slightly bitter. Not bad. Reminds me a bit of La Fin Du Monde with a different--less exciting--yeast strain.

330 ml bottle from LCBO, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear deep golden/amber with a fragile white head. Aroma: Strong, alcoholic lemon, earthy coriander, quite fruity, some playful esters, grains/cereals, light biscuit, a fairly intense Tripel. Palate: Medium+ body, full, creamy, velvety effervescence. Flav.: A bit more restrained than the nose, nice citrus/lemon, yeast and raw bread dough, alcohol, estery, a good example of the style; dry with an alcohol sting and limited bitterness, finishes with biscuit, light citrus, syrupy.

A good Tripel. I still don’t really care for the style.

chris__hartley (62) - Ontario, CANADA - FEB 18, 2012
It pours a golden-yellow with orange highlights; the head is white fluffy, but dissipated quickly. The aroma has notes of: blood-orange, alcohol (rum), and ginger. The taste is medium sweet that finishes with a light bitterness; it has notes of: candied apricot, ginger, and orange-zest. The palate is light bodied, vibrant carbonation, and slick. Overall, the beer is a disappointing triple – lacks complexity, and is too carbonated.

330 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a lightly cloudy golden colour with decent-sized white head. Aroma is yeasty with tropical fruit, spice and sort of floral. Flavour is fairly sweet with apple, pear, maybe a little banana, coriander, pepper and alcohol. Finish is dry, carbonation is on the subtle side. Nice.

330 ml bottle. BBE 29.06.2013.
Pours a slightly cloudy golden colour with some visible bubbles and a firm white head. Aroma of malts, strong citrus and dried fruits. Flavour of pale malts, strong citrus, dried fruits and some yeast. Medium bodied, foamy mouthfeel and a long, warming, dry fruity finish. Nice tripel.

330ml bottle from Cracked Kettle

Pours light orange with a small smooth head. Aroma has some fruitiness, earthy notes, spices and malts. Taste is quite yeasty with earthy notes, malts and spices with hints of fruits. Finish is slightly fruity with some spices. Okay, well balanced tripel.

Una delle prime birre "diverse" mai bevuto, vista la facile reperibilità, buona tripel anche se ce ne sono altre migliori...

Slightly overrated tripel in my opinion. Decent taste but too bitter and to little depth.
