Amber-golden in colour with a fast fading white head. Light sparkling and clear liquid. Noses a bit skunky, mainly of barley, sweet malts, barnyard, floral and sweet fruit notes. Offers a light fizz and a slick somewhat light oily texture. Full bodied beer with a fruity sweetness. The finish is well balanced and medium long. Good stuff!

Brought back from the states in May. Bottled in November 2012. Aroma: Orange, tropical fruits, sugar cane, caramel. Great complexity, wide palette. Also gingerbread, cinnamon. A very fruity nose with a lot of sugar and yeast. Appearance: Golden amber with a lot of yeast particles. Average thickness head, half creamy half rocky, lasting also average. Lacing doesn’t stick. Taste: The attack is characterized by the presence of caramelized sugars, effervescence and alcohol. Caramel is indeed very present and developing burnt notes. Spices are doing a discreet work, may be too discreet; with slight notes of cinnamon and clove mixed with bubble gum, vanilla and almond. I was expecting an explosion of flavors but didn’t happen. Flavors are showing a good complexity but their strength is very average. Mouth feel is all within sugars with very few bitterness and a very light acidity. (too light). Texture is round, thick and alcohol is warming. Without being extraordinary, it indeed a good tripel; a sweet tripel.

Shared a 33cl bottle from Cora (Luxembourg). Pours a clear blond in colour with a fluffy white head. Aroma is perfume, fruity and lightly banana notes. Average carbonation and thin light to medium body. Taste is a complex mix between of bitter and sweet, with some alcohol and a light sweet end. Overall, a nice beer but with a presence of alcohol a bit too much.
