COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The king of the abbey beers. It is amber-gold and pours with a deep head and original aroma, delivering a complex, full bodied flavour. Pure enjoyment! Secondary fermentation in the bottle. (Temp: 8-10ºC)

Gourgeous golden blonde beer with a refreshing fruity aroma. The flavour is slightly aniseed with large hints of sweetness. A great refreshing Belgian beer.

Looks like a tripel. It being a tripel, I'm less than deeply surprised by this fact. Anyways, it's golden-cloudy. Nose is a bit lemony, very sugary, quite zippy. Fizzy, makes the tongue sparkle. Sugary, not as spicy as preferred. Finishes soft and welcoming, tart but a little bland, sort of like a Belgian hooker I'd guess.

Dark yellow, cloudy body under a tall, lasting white head which leaves a beautiful lace on the glass. Aroma dominated by malt sweetness, spices, fruit (orange). Tastes thick and sweet, with hints of licorice and a bittersweet finish. I don't know exactly why, but it seems to lack a really distinctive character... I mean, it just reminds me of other beers instead of being a unique experience. So it's good, but not unforgettable.

25.4 oz. bottle Quite light in appearance, with a pale golden hue, and ephemeral, fluffy head that can get quickly out of hand. Aroma sweet, underwhelming, slightly biting and sour. Taste is complex, wheat-bitter champagne without the cloying sweetness. Grows on you. An accomplished brew.

UPDATED: JAN 12, 2010 Semi-clear golden. Creamy head of tiny bubbles leaves just a bit of intricate lace. Fruity aroma with a bit a citrus--very nice. Flavor mostly follows aroma. Nice balance between sweet and tart. A hint of lemon Jolly Rancher. Very smooth. Very creamy. An excellent tripel in all respects. Delicious.

hazy orange , creamy head. Robust with flavours of malty fruits, orange Christmas cookies, hoppy citric, full and rich, will re-visit this one

Very nice aroma reeking of yeast and pears. Pours big head which mostly diminishes. Moderate lacing. Unfortunately, the flavor does not live up to the aroma. Kinda one dimensional. Some yeast and spices just not enough to justify an exceptional rating.

Nice light golden color with an OK foam. This tripel isn't to distinct from the other belgian tripels but it isnt bad either. Some carbonation and a medium body.

Tripels so far all taste the same to me. That's not exactly a bad thing, they are all quite delicious. Maybe next time I try it, I can get past the excellent sweet taste and say something about the more subtle flavors.

White foamy big head. Golden orange color. Aroma is malty with citrus, alcohol and spicy notes. Flavour is malty too with sourness and alcohol incoming. Finish is moderately sweet, slightly spicy. Medium bodied.
