Bottled, 330ml from Hopduvel Warehouse, Ghent. Hazed gold with white head. Really spicy, yeasty on the nose leading to quite a sweet, fuity, yeasty beer with plenty of added spice. The alcohol shows through the sugared body, giving a candy, burning note. Full and characterful, very pleasant.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Bov (7316) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JUN 8, 2002
Apparently no more brewed by De Smedt (the label says: Affligem Brouwerij) - golden-orange colour, big creamy head, nice lace, very yeasty and spicy with notes of orange, smooth with a robust bitterness, very long bitter orange finish - simply beautiful !
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Tmoney99 (7294) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 29, 2008
Bottle from Rivers Bend. Poured hazy orange color with an average frothy white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Complex spicy fruit and yeasty aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium citrus balanced flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate to moderate duration with a small alcohol bite. This is a refreshing standout beer.

Bottle: Golden, hazy, smaller creamy layer; moderate fruity (oranges) nose with a phenolic touch; solid sweet-bitter flavour, almost full bodied; fruity-sweet finish with the usual tartness in the aftertaste. Pleasant, typical tripel..........
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MesandSim (7109) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 28, 2005
A Mes rate:
Pretty run of the mill tripel. Slightly cloudy. Little sticky in the mouth. Lots of coriander and butterscotch and the slight lick of alcohol make for something that is ok, nothing better for me.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Koelschtrinker (7034) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUL 6, 2011
Ansonsten: Daumen hoch!

Hazy gold ale with a thick creamy white head with good lacings. Pleasant bananas and spices in aroma, with light alcohol. Tingly yet creamy mouthfeel. Good sweet malt with spices, cloves, coriander, lemons and red delicious apples. Nice hoppy and sweet finsih, with smooth alcohol in the middle. Very pleasant offering.

750 ml corked and caged. Pale amber colour with great clarity and very fine carbonation. Dusty malt aroma, soft and earthy with some nice crackery dryness. Softly spicy with light clove and earthiness as well as a light musky aroma. Light apricot/apple in the middle with a nice crisp flinty bitterness on the back. Nicely balanced flavour with the light spiciness playing very nicely against the dryness of the finish. Lean Belgian malts with a pepper/bubble gum finish. Very tasty tripel.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 CaptainCougar (6833) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - MAR 27, 2005
Cork date says 4/2003: Pours a clear golden bronze with a nice, creamy, and well-lacing white head. Aroma has a strong, candy-like, Belgian malty caramel aroma with lots of bready yeasty esters. Body starts rich and bready with lots of sweetness leading to a dry, yeasty, candi sugar finish. Nicely balanced with good complexity throughout. An enjoyable tripel.
