COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The king of the abbey beers. It is amber-gold and pours with a deep head and original aroma, delivering a complex, full bodied flavour. Pure enjoyment! Secondary fermentation in the bottle. (Temp: 8-10ºC)

It pours a golden-yellow with orange highlights; the head is white fluffy, but dissipated quickly. The aroma has notes of: blood-orange, alcohol (rum), and ginger. The taste is medium sweet that finishes with a light bitterness; it has notes of: candied apricot, ginger, and orange-zest. The palate is light bodied, vibrant carbonation, and slick. Overall, the beer is a disappointing triple – lacks complexity, and is too carbonated.

I’ll start off by saying: I don’t know much about these beers. one of the better beers i’ve ever smelled, and poured a cloudy amber color. The one bad thing about this beer was the price.. of course i did get a huge 750ml bottle, but for 7.50 yikes. I really like the taste of these beers.. real hard to explain.. taste dark, looks light, and kicks ur ass with the heavy alc content. I think the freakest part about this beer are the floating chunks of yeast in the bottem of the bottle. I would reccoment atleast trying this beer once.

corked bottle 750ml - poured with a really white head and lemony yellow color reminiscent of some wheats I’ve had...a little overly carbonated and fizzy on the tongue - echoes of white wine - a bit astringent. Best part, in my opinion, was that the abv% was masked - not at all hot or even a hint that it was packing a bit of a punch...with all the Belgians out there to choose from now, I didn’t think this one was anything special.

Spreading the Belgium love around the family on Thanksgiving here in Council Bluffs. 48f pours like transparent caramel with an exploding large bubble head, fairly quick to dissipate from a fat finger heighth. Leaves a lacy garter. Vegetal aromas of carrots, celery and artichokes in a malt aspic. Taste of the above veggies on a mineral plate. Nice and dry. Very pleasant thin sweetness like frosted green grapes. Carbonation pops off the tongue sending the hop character up to the roof of the mouth and then cascades down the sides of the tongue. Nice alcohol bite. Everyone enjoyed this, and were amazed at the wine-qualities of the Belgian beer. Welcome to my world. paired well with breaded oysters.

bottle poured into tulip glass. aroma reminded me of duvel, but with a hint of ginger. Clear golden in color. Tasted spicy sweet. average carbonation, full body, clean finish. This was a very enjoyable beer

Wonderful aromas, reminds me of a fresh pear. Very sweet body. Strong enough to please, but a pleasantly light and refreshing finish. Quite quaffable. Extra points in overall for being a great value at $6.99

Tripels so far all taste the same to me. That's not exactly a bad thing, they are all quite delicious. Maybe next time I try it, I can get past the excellent sweet taste and say something about the more subtle flavors.

A bright yellow-gold color with a frothy white head that insists on lasting though the duration, a somewhat light, mild malted texture, not as rich or full as other Belgians, like Westmalle, according to a local beer distributor here in Chicago it is recommended with “sharp cheeses, sausage, roast turkey, baked squash, and amazing with peach pie,” so, having no pie, I pulled out some Swiss cheese, which adds a sweetness to the beer, giving it a much greater complexity to each sip.
