COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The king of the abbey beers. It is amber-gold and pours with a deep head and original aroma, delivering a complex, full bodied flavour. Pure enjoyment! Secondary fermentation in the bottle. (Temp: 8-10ºC)

Really nice nose on this one, very unique, has floral Belgian and European stinky! The look is a little lack luster but the flavor profile is nice! The winner is the nice palate and body which stand up well to the ABV! Overall this is an obvious standard for the style! Prost...

From a 750 ml bottle, dated 06-04-2013, 9% abv, served at 56 degrees F. Nice golden amber pour, small white head that quickly fades, no lacing. The bubbling carbonation is visible in the glass. Subtle aroma of light caramel, sweet malt, honey, coriander, and citrus peel. A full flavor blend of citrus sour and honey sweet with a buttery quality and a subtle spiciness, very well balanced. Full bodied, creamy and buttery texture, lively carbonation, and well balanced finish. Very refreshing, yet satisfies the desire for a strong beer.

Very good tripel! 25cl bottle poors with almost no head - quickly fading till no head. Amber, almost orange color but very clear for a Belgian triple. Very tasty with caramel and typical Belgian yeast dominating. Conceals the 8,5% alcohol very well.

One of the best beers in Europe. Very hoppy. High alcohol content is well concealed. Be careful!

A very good tripel. Lots of coriander on the nose, some caramel, some alcohol. Flavour pretty complex, sweet to start with, getting more dry and alcoholic towards finish. Orange in colour, very weak foam from my .33l bottle.

Clear golden. Big, airy, white head. Sparkling carb. Aroma is fruity, malty. Apples. Flavour is spicy, yeasty and boozy. Bitter finish.

30cl bottle from Tesco’s, Camberley. An amber pour with a quickly fading white head; the aroma has some musty, sourish apples and Belgian yeast; the taste is smooth and buttery with some pleasantly sour fruit; and a rich warming butterscotch finish. Very drinkable, and very moreish.
