COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The king of the abbey beers. It is amber-gold and pours with a deep head and original aroma, delivering a complex, full bodied flavour. Pure enjoyment! Secondary fermentation in the bottle. (Temp: 8-10şC)

Slightly overrated tripel in my opinion. Decent taste but too bitter and to little depth.

A light taste of coriander and some floral hops. Golden colour with the haziest touch of murk and some alcohol, maybe clove. Pours without much of a head. A little bit of something sweet in here as well, like french toast. Bottle.

TET (676) - FINLAND - JAN 21, 2012
A orange yellow beer with a big and blond head. Aroma is fruitfull and fresh, some fructose sweetness, spicyness, yeast and also hint of bananas. Taste is sligtly fruitfull, spicyness, dry herbs and some balancing sweetness. Medium+ bodied, nice balancing carbonation, rich and nice to drink. Some kind of "heavyness" bothers this beer and so easyness and cheerfulness is missing. Anyway, good, complex and tastefull beer.

A yeasty beer that spreads people either its super or it is a bad beer to get through because of all the yeast taste and aroma.

0,7l bottle. Aroma is strong, you can smell malt and some fruits. Dark and rich red amber coloured liquid with brown and thick head. Taste is a little sweet with mild sourness and traces of alcohol. full body and long finish. Extremely good beer from friars.

Dark golden/reddish colour, minimal white head. Hops come out a bit sharply in the aroma with fruis and some malt. Intensifying bitter taste on the tongue balanced with yeast. Very good, remarkable brew.

Pater Marcus, Budapest.

Affligem Tripel has a thick, creamy, frothy, cream-colored head and a hazy, golden-amber appearance, with lots of little bubbles streaming up. The aroma is not particularly strong, but one can detect fruits and some malt. Taste is of fruit, nuts, malt, yeast, brandy, alcohol, banana bread, and a touch of bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium to thick, and Affligem Tripel finishes mostly dry and smooth. Overall, this is a wonderful beer, and I rate it very highly. RJT
