COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The king of the abbey beers. It is amber-gold and pours with a deep head and original aroma, delivering a complex, full bodied flavour. Pure enjoyment! Secondary fermentation in the bottle. (Temp: 8-10ºC)

750ml. Bottle. Pours hazy and golden. I thought the Aroma was a little off or light I should say; but...im 3 ribs in, to a rack of spare ribs, so maybe all the complex features are there and I just can smell them. That aside; the beer, I thought was exceptional. Medium bitternesss and very light on the sweet end, finish is long and the taste is very refreshing. A score of 97 is spot on. Although somewhat heavy, this beer goes great with a rack of ribs...enjoy

Hazy yellow, good head. Aroma has a spicy, Belgian funk. Taste is spices with a feel of alcohol. Finish is more warmth from alcohol.

11/01/2011 - 33cl bottle @ home (2011-13)

Clear yellow to light orange beer, white head, continuously supported by lots of carbon in the glass. Creamy nor adheasive though. Aroma: sweet malts, a little overripe fruits, alcohol, a little citrus. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet malts, somewhat fruity (peaches are present) and a little spices. Aftertaste: first some hops, then sweet, sugary. Finishes with some citrus. Not bad, but not very exciting either.

Oh man the triple is such a beautiful light color. Nice and smooth with a really pleasing finish. Maybe a little dried fruit lingers. The wonderful thing is the slight bit of heat in your throat mixed with spicy dried fruit aftertaste.

Bottle from Beer Ritz. Bright golden pour with an off-white head. Banana, apricot and cinnamon aromas. Fruity tang. Lots of citrus, apricot and pineapple. Fruity finish with a light bitter tang.

Pours a cloudy golden color out of the bottle with a white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of citrus and yeast with some leathery notes. Nice full flavor with mostly orange zest and coriander hints balancing a sweatbready malt. Palate was a little flat, but did have some lively carbonation. Its thin on the mouth. A good example of a Tripel.

High carbonation, clear beer. Quickly dissolving head. Suger, light floral, hay, spices. Nice rich taste, tingling bitterness.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2011 750 ml bottle slowly poured in tulips and shared with friend. Tantilizing gold with lots of carbination. 3 " head which left nice lacing. Aromas of tangyBelgium yeasts with fruits minimal spices mixed with lightly roasted malts and alcohol.Tastes closely resembles the nose of this brew. a perfect representation for this style. The trappist tripels began my journey into Belgium brews. I have since ventured into sour and Russian Imperial stouts as well.
