COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The king of the abbey beers. It is amber-gold and pours with a deep head and original aroma, delivering a complex, full bodied flavour. Pure enjoyment! Secondary fermentation in the bottle. (Temp: 8-10ºC)

330ml bottle. Pours a hazy lemon/orange with a small head. Aroma is nutty and yeasty. Some marzipan as well. Sweet lemon to start, with a medium dry yeasty finish. Great in the mouth, spot on carbonation.

Pours out golden with an orange glow. Good big white head that holds good. Good smell of bread and spices. Some nice sweetness. Sweet aftertaste with some sour fruits and bread comming up.

Big aroma of coriander, cherry, apple and honey. Appearance is translucent gold with white foamy head. Flavor matches the nose, but in a lighter way than expected. The bigness of the nose was not matched. Palate is bubbly. A good Tripel that was somewhat inconsistent for me.

Very refined tripel. Somewhat thinner in taste than Chimay. Nice straw color and white head. Very winelike. Flavors of grapes and wheat. Resiny. Overall not bad!

[3132-20100715] 330mL bottle. Rich lemon yeast and plastic balsa wood aroma. Slightly hazy, light brown orange body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Thick lemon zest and roughage flavour has a little wood stain. Medium body is thick. Booze is hidden well, good balance.

Bottle 9.5%. Clear orangeish gold pour with a frothy white head that doesn’t last long. Aroma has notes of honey, yeast, spice and malt. Flavour is quite similar but bigger: the spice and honey stand out more plus there are additional hints of lemon, caramel, grass and meringue. Mouthfeel is dry yet oily with moderate carbonation and a medium to short bittersweet finish with a hint of sourness. A very good tripel overall, which is difficult enough to achieve, but this is smooth, complex, layered and easy to drink.
