The king of the abbey beers. It is amber-gold and pours with a deep head and original aroma, delivering a complex, full bodied flavour. Pure enjoyment! Secondary fermentation in the bottle. (Temp: 8-10ºC)

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2009 330mL bottle from Regional. Pours a slightly cloudy deep golden, with a fizzy white head forming which dissipates to a thin layer.
Weak aroma for its strength, some coriander, clove and sweet malt are there. A bit of alcohol is detectable but very little.
The flavour bites initially with a strong hop bitterness. This fades slightly and coriander, citrus and caramel fill the gap. The only hint of the 9.5% ABV is my head getting lighter with every sip. Very well hidden alcohol content. Dry finish.
This Tripel promises little on the nose, yet delivers much on the palate.

One of my favourite tripels, subtle, refreshing and light but with interesting taste and smell development - lemon with green orange, with a subtle bitter aftertaste which reminds me a bit of tonic water.

Caged and Corked 750ml. I got as a gift as a thank you gift from a friend. Its been in the cellar for quite some time, and I thought hell why not crack this bad boy. Popped the cork and it went all over my shirt the table, the chair and floor. At least it smells nice. Pours yellowy orange with a bright white head. Nose is sweet, yeasty and nice. Taste is pretty nice, but overly bitter in my opinion. That said, I am admittedly not much of a triple guy. Citrus comes out some in there too. Pretty tasty trip.

330 ml bttle from an LCBO gift pack. poured into my Affligem glass. this one was a gusher but i caught it. pours deep hazy golden with a thin white head that lingers and laces. aromas are sweet with honey and candy. some yeast and some alcohol. flavour, sweet malt and belgian candied sugar, some yeasty fruity aspects and some booze. enjoyable but not special. the best of the gift pack.

750ml bottle. Teeming with lazy bubbles, the straw-colored ale features lumpy, noisy foam. A stunningly complex bouquet boasts green banana, spice, salty "beach", ethanol, earth, clove, bubblegum, pear, plum, blue curacao, and a hint of barnyard funk. The flavor begins with yeasty spice against a donut doughiness... becoming sweeter, fruitier, and earthier as it warms, progressing from orchard fruits (notably pear) to bitter pineapple... and ends on a chunky bitter note. Nuances of caramel and honey. Some "hoochy" alcohol is evident in both aroma and taste. The sharp, zesty palate crackles with firecracker carbonation that lends a lingering, tingly aftereffect. Much better overall at a warmer serving temperature. I would glady drink this again and again.
