Bottle. Unclear light amber orange color with a average frothy fair lacing mostly lasting off-white head. Aroma is light malty, caramel, light yeast, toffee, brown sugar, light alcoholic. Initial flavor is moderate sweet and bitter, finish flavor is moderate sweet and bitter, light acidic, with a average to long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2010 From a bottle poured into a tulip. Beautiful pour. Deep golden with generous head. Aroma is sweet and fruity with a little bread. Flavor is a perfect balance of sweet and clean. No lingering aftertaste.

Pours deep gold with a small white head. Aromais fruity and floral. It smells so good I almost don’t want to drink it. Flavor is sweet, but not too sweet with some nice fruit flavors (cherry ?). Alcohol is present in the taste, but not in the foreground. Finish is smooth with some bread like flavors that linger. Very very good stuff here.

UPDATED: JUN 15, 2007 This magnificent brew pours a beautiful copperish golden color w/ a foot high creamy froth that just sits there like a stuborn mule. Finally deciding to move along the mule recedes leaving a sticky residue along it’s path down to nectars edge. Once there a creamy puddle is left floating like heavy whiping cream w/ a thick ring of fluffy lace. Nice! Aroma is strong w/ a slight meaty earthiness along with the usual Tripel offerings. Superb!. Medium full nectar w/ ample residual effers that explode on the palate into a gushing yet soft pillowy mouthful. This brew is amazingly balanced w/ tropical tripel malts and a mild peachpit bittering unit. Not too sweet and not too dry. Perfect! Mild banana spice, vanilla, peach nectar, grapefruit rind, The finish is bittered better than well and leaves the palate totally dry setting up the next sip like a pro volleyball player for the winning spike. I highly recommend this brew.

Pours very light with thick head. Spicy, yeasty aroma. Flavor is dry and a bit dusty but still a round body. Decent.

Sampled from 750 mL bottle, poured into trappist glass. Unfortunately, the bottle had been shaken up in transport and foamed over for several minutes. I rated it as best I could despite this accident, but the aroma was weakened as a result. The aroma that was discernable was fruity (maybe banana) and had some citrus hops, perhaps some caramel malt. The appearance was a cloudy, dark gold-honey color with a big, foamy white head. The head was long lasting and light. Its taste was very sweet and fruity, maybe some yeast. Mouthfeel was fizzy but smooth and wet, but still light; average carbonation. A good beer, but tainted by the accidental shake-up.

Pours rich gold. Nice head retention. Spicy, herbal aroma. Very rich and creamy on the palate. Sweet malt and dry yeast mix nicely with each other. Slightly fruity but balanced nicely by some dry yeast and spice flavors. i like this Tripel.

Bottle. Huge head with good duration. Color is hazy golden. Aroma is fruit and yeast. Taste is malt and fruits.
