COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The king of the abbey beers. It is amber-gold and pours with a deep head and original aroma, delivering a complex, full bodied flavour. Pure enjoyment! Secondary fermentation in the bottle. (Temp: 8-10ºC)

Bottle. Gift from Dedollewaitor, Very nice Triple, and very close to the land mark, Karmeliet Tripel. Gold color with orange highlights. Musty, fruity nose.

Bottle: Hazy straw, actually moreso dirty, moderate fizzy off-white head, dies quickly, spotty lacing.   Combination sweet bready grassiness and a soft floral aspect... very soft.   Fairly malty for a Tripel.   Semi-sweet, bready, floral (but not as much as other examples).   Very clean.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Seems like a little honeysuckle and/or nectar like flavors on the finish.   Alcohol is well hidden.   Not as bright or floral, but equally as good as others.

33cl bottle from Noel Cuveliers. Gold thin white head. Belgian abbey tripel aroma, that belgian yeast, stone fruit and citrus aroma. Maybe more complex than most and certainly a very good aroma. It is an above average tripel. smooth, competent, well put together, certainly nothing off balance. Quite pleasing, fruit really is very nice, finish is a little metallic and really lets the rest of the beer down. Decent without hitting the heights.

Yellow in colour and a bit hazy with a Thick white head. Hint of alcohol, a very subdued hint of metal, some fruityness and a bit of spice to the nose. Maltiness, prune-ish flavor and a bit of hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. Medium to full body with a substancial amount of carbonation.

Nice apple, caramel aroma. Cloudy golden brown color with short-lived, thick white head. The flavor was candy sweet, orange and apple were there. The mouthfeel was a little bit sticky with a slightly bitter aftertaste. A little bit strong for a session beer, but I might be able to pull it off.

Poured a golden hazy color, not a lot of sedimentation, frothy white head, just lingered forever, looked a lot like a merangue (sp?). The aroma was yeasty, cedar wood-like aromas, fruitiness. The flavor was yeasty, fruity (some bananas), dry dusty, floral and herbal hops. Mouthfeel was moderate for the style, carbonated.

Trappist glass. Amber color with sediment and decent head. Sugar coated orange and banana aroma. Taste is similar with spicy notes. Not very complex. Some reviewers made the spot on comment that there was buttersotch at the end. Nice soft mouthfeel. Not really a typical triple. However, it is enjoyable.
